December opening hours Abattoir

ORANJESTAD - The Department of Public Health’s veterinarian wants to remind all who are planning the slaughter of goats, sheep or pigs in December for human consumption, that this has to be done at the slaughterhouse as stated by law.

Slaugherhouse at BarcaderaAt home slaughtering of goats, sheep or pigs is illegal and also poses a risk for humans.

The slaughter service at the abattoir is available from Monday to Thursday in the morning hours. For proper scheduling, it is advised do make your appointment in time and confirm this 24 hours prior to the slaughtering. Animals should be at the slaughterhouse between 7:00 am and 9:00 am.

Last slaughtering date is December 17, 2019.
