As of January 1, 2015, the factor for calculating the wage limit for the application of the Labor Ordinance 2013 was increased from 2 to 2.1.
The wage limit is determined by multiplying the minimum wage by a factor of 2.1.
Minimum wage (Awg, 1.636.70 x factor 2.1 = Awg. 3.437,07
This means that employees with a monthly salary of Awg. 3.437.07 or Awg. 41244.84 per year or less fall under the protection of the Labor Ordinance 2013, and are entitled to the conditions specified in this ordinance, including maximum working hours per day and per week, rest days, overtime pay and paid holidays or commemoration days.
