The Naturalization Test is conducted twice a year. Registration is from February 2 to February 20, 2015 and the second registration is from August 3 to August 21, 2015.

In April 2002, the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands introduced a law that requires anyone who wishes to qualify for the Dutch nationality to take a mandatory naturalization test. The Regulation issued by the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of December 15, 2010, stipulates that by January 1, 2011 the naturalization test consists of a component that assesses knowledge of the state structure and society, a component that assesses the degree of knowledge of the Papiamento language and a component that assesses the degree of knowledge of the Dutch language. Each language test examines four language skills.
The department of Education through its Examination Bureau is in charge of the test, and has no participation whatsoever in other naturalization procedure.
