As part of the celebration of 200 years Kingdom of the Netherlands and 350 years Marine Corps Sail Aruba will be held in the port of Oranjestad from May 1 to 3. After a reception at the Governor of Aruba Refunjol at 09.30hrs, the King and Queen will arrive at 11.00 hrs by boat at the SAIL grounds. There Sail Aruba will launch the Sail-in with a ceremonial salute to the King. Queen Máxima will give the starting shot for a youth sailing competition. Then the King and Queen will visit an exhibition of the Aruban Port Authority (APA) and they will visit the Seafood Festival. In the afternoon, the royal couple will be present at a demonstration of the Royal Navy and Coast Guard Caribbean territory and they will visit the tall ship Picton Castle. Finally in the evening at 19.30hrs the King and Queen will grace with their presence a one-off special performance by staff of Soldier of Orange-The Musical in the harbor of Oranjestad. Together with the Zeeman Choir Aruba a collage of poems and excerpts from the literature on the Second World War combined with scenes and songs from the musical itself will be presented.
